The opening is ever so slightly sour, and smells like the forest floor decomposing\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBesides that, you also have the resinous and turpentine-ness of pine. To translate that into a visual; like pine needles on the ground.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI think in general because of the moisture and the wetness of the fragrance, it does lean in the direction of a forest floor either after the rain or in winter.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEventually, it does lose that wetness and centers on the turpentine character, which I like.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eForest floor on the dry down, and in a manner that I think is as close to perfect as it gets. It stops being wet, and turns “misty”. The pine needles turn to ferns.
