Isaac Sinclair

A perfumer from Auckland, New Zealand, trained in Milan and Paris, who spent years in São Paulo as a master perfumer for Symrise.

The story

Isaac Sinclair studied olfaction at the Università dell'Immagine in Milan and did his apprenticeship at Symrise in Paris. He then moved to São Paulo, working on accounts such as Guerlain, DKNY, Natura and Lancôme. In July 2026 he joined IFF's Creative Center in Neuilly-sur-Seine as a senior perfumer.

The work

For Natura he created Kayak Aero, Homem Dom and Kriska Romance; for O Boticário, Malbec Flame and Quasar Ice. In niche, he is closely linked to the natural perfume house Abel, and he has also worked for agnès b.

At Scentorium

Is and Was by Neandertal (2025), written with Fanny Grau and Nicolaj Koralewicz. Both came from the same brief: one was composed by the three perfumers, the other by Symrise's artificial intelligence Philyra 2.0. Neandertal does not say which is which.
