Prin Lomros

Siam1928

One of Thailand's most prolific independent perfumers, known for bold, animalic work and three houses of his own.

The story

As a child Prin Lomros loved his mother's perfumes. He studied film to master's level and took short perfumery courses in Grasse during a trip to the Cannes Film Festival; he also worked at PerfumersWorld before going his own way. He founded Pryn Parfum in 2016, later rebranded as PRIN. Every perfume starts from a moving image he imagines, often with Asian influences such as Thai temple incense.

The work

Strangers Parfumerie launched in 2017 with Cigar Rum, Ember, Fume Ma Peau, La Malila and Maia; Parfum Prissana, named after his sister, followed in 2018. PRIN explores a "twilight world" built on animalic materials, starting with Anatolia, Mandodari and Aran. He was an Art and Olfaction Artisan finalist with Rosuerrier (2017), Cigar Rum and Morah (2018) and Sweet Celestials (2024). He has also composed for Zoologist (Sloth, the 2020 Rhinoceros and Bat, King Cobra), Tada Parfumeur, Azman and others, and made Aranyaka with Rajesh Balkrishnan. The Art and Olfaction Awards, run by the Institute for Art and Olfaction in Los Angeles, are among the main international prizes for independent and artisan perfumery.
