At Scentorium, operated by RECHARGE CENTER S.R.L., we understand that fragrance is a deeply personal and sensory journey. Because we curate highly sensitive, limited-batch olfactory art, we maintain rigorous, uncompromising standards for returns. To ensure the absolute purity, provenance, and safety of every flacon in our collection, we operate under a strict, yet fair, return protocol.

This policy is governed exclusively by Romanian law (including OUG 34/2014) and relevant European Union consumer protection directives.

I. The Olfactory Integrity Clause (Hygiene & Health Exception)

Fragrance is legally classified as an intimate personal care and hygiene product. Under Article 16, letter e) of OUG 34/2014, the right of withdrawal does NOT apply to the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed by the consumer.

• The "First Spray" Rule: If there is any evidence that the atomizer pump has been primed, depressed, or that even a single micro-spray has been discharged, the artwork is irrevocably altered by oxygen exposure.

• Tampered Seals: The removal, cutting, or visible deterioration of the original factory protective seal (cellophane wrap, wax seal, or security sticker) instantly voids any eligibility for return.

An opened, unsealed, primed, or sprayed perfume cannot be resold under any circumstances and is considered a final, unreturnable sale.

II. The 30-Day Privilege (For Sealed Artworks Only)

European law mandates a 14-day cooling-off period, but Scentorium proudly extends this privilege. You have 30 days to request a return, provided the item remains completely untouched and factory-sealed.

• Calculation of Time: The window begins on the day you (or a designated third party other than the carrier) acquire physical possession of the last item in your order. If the 14th or 30th day falls on a weekend or public holiday, the deadline is extended to the next working day.

• Conditions for Validity: The original branded box must be flawless. Outer cellophane and security seals must be 100% intact. The return must include any complimentary samples or gift-with-purchase items received in their original, unused state.

III. Return Logistics & Procedure

Initiating a return is simple for our European clients.

1. Notification: EU customers can initiate withdrawal requests effortlessly through our self-serve portal: https://shopify.com/94361485696/account or by contacting our concierge at contact@scentorium.eu.

2. Return Shipping Costs: The consumer bears 100% of the direct costs for returning the goods. We strongly advise using a tracked and insured premium courier service.

IV. Exceptions: Defective Goods or Transit Damage

A full refund or replacement is granted strictly if the product arrives physically defective from the factory or critically damaged during transit.

Please inspect your order upon reception. Any transit damage or factory defect must be reported to contact@scentorium.eu within 48 hours of delivery, accompanied by clear photographic and video evidence of the parcel and the defect. (Note: This 48-hour window applies solely to reporting physical transit damage, not your standard right of withdrawal).

V. Refunds Processing

We will notify you once we have received and rigorously inspected your returned flacon.

• Timeline: If the integrity check is passed, we will process your refund without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day we receive the returned goods (or valid proof of dispatch).

• Outbound Shipping: For eligible withdrawals within the EU, we will refund the cost of standard outbound delivery. If you opted for a premium or express delivery service, the difference in cost will not be refunded.

• Your refund will be automatically processed to your original payment method.
