Governing Law: This policy is governed exclusively by Romanian law (OUG 34/2014) and relevant European Union consumer protection directives.

At Scentorium, operated by RECHARGE CENTER S.R.L., we understand that fragrance is a deeply personal and sensory journey. To ensure the absolute purity and safety of every flacon in our collection, we maintain rigorous standards for returns and exchanges.

I. The Discovery Period (14-Day Right of Withdrawal)

In accordance with EU statutory rights, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 calendar days from the day you, or a third party designated by you, acquire physical possession of the goods. This period allows you to inspect the product as you would in a physical boutique.

II. ⚠️ The Olfactory Integrity Clause (Critical Hygiene Exception)

Fragrance is classified as a personal care and hygiene product. Under Article 16, letter e) of OUG 34/2014, the right of withdrawal does NOT apply to the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed by the consumer.

What constitutes "unsealing"? The removal, breaking, or visible deterioration of the original factory protective seal(e.g., the cellophane wrap or security sticker) constitutes unsealing. Once this seal is compromised, the product irreversibly loses its eligibility for return. An opened perfume cannot be resold for hygiene reasons and is considered a final sale.

III. Conditions for a Valid Return

To be eligible for a refund, your item must be returned in the exact condition it was received:

• Factory-Sealed: The outer cellophane and security seals must be intact and untampered.

• Original Packaging: The item must be in its original branded box, including all inserts, booklets, and protective materials.

• Complete: The return must include any complimentary samples or gift-with-purchase items received with the order.

• Proof of Purchase: A receipt or valid order number is required.

IV. Return Procedure & Logistics

To initiate a return for a factory-sealed item, please contact our concierge at contact@scentorium.eu.

1. Notification: Inform us of your intent to withdraw within the 14-day window.

2. Shipping Costs: Per Art. 14 of OUG 34/2014, the consumer shall bear the direct costs of returning the goods(the shipping fee from you back to our facility).

3. Secure Transit: We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured courier service. Scentorium is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

V. Refunds & Reimbursement

Once your return is received and inspected for seal integrity, we will notify you of the approval status.

• Approved Refunds: We will refund the full product cost plus the initial standard delivery cost (if applicable).

• Timeline: Refunds are processed within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, issued to your original payment method.

• Exchanges: The most efficient way to exchange a scent is to return the original (sealed) item for a refund and place a new order for your desired fragrance.

VI. Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon arrival. If an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us immediately at contact@scentorium.eu so we can evaluate the issue and rectify it.
