Alina Miron
Dor Olfactory
The founder of Dor Olfactory, a London studio named after the Romanian word for longing.
The story
Alina Miron founded Dor Olfactory in London. Dor is the Romanian word for longing. She leads a small collective of designers, architects and researchers, and the studio works across perfume, art installations and exhibitions. She chose a Romanian word, untranslatable in a single English word, as the name of her studio.
The work
Dor Olfactory makes perfume in small batches with a high natural content, an approach it calls "slow perfumery", under the mantra "get nosey". The catalogue includes Figure Me Out, Legno Sacro and Date with a Shaman (2024), You… See Me Too (2025) and Wabi-Sabi (2026), green and fleeting, inspired by Kyoto. Outside the United Kingdom, Dor is also stocked by Stéle in New York.
On Parfumo & Fragrantica
Parfumo lists her 5 perfumes.
At Scentorium
The Dor Olfactory collection, including Wabi-Sabi. For Romanian readers the name needs no translation; for everyone else, the perfumes try to bottle exactly that feeling. Start with Wabi-Sabi, the newest, or Date with a Shaman.
