🇵🇱 SCENTORIUM ARTISAN PROFILE
Dominik Schneider: The Uncompromising Alchemist of Poland
Dominik Schneider is the technical Nose and raw creative force behind Profundum Parfums. But to understand this house, you must first understand the spirit of its creators. Based in Poland, Profundum is the shared, uncompromising vision of Schneider and his creative partner, co-founder Bartłomiej "Bartek" Cygan.
Together, they are forging a challenging, artisanal path in European perfumery, driven by a philosophy born from the silence of the forest and the raw honesty of emotion.
I. The Perfumed Journal: Fire, Forest & Rebellion
Schneider’s work is not about conformity; it's about smelling real. Profundum serves as a "perfumed journal" of their shared Polish memories, rejecting polite traditions in favor of authentic, evocative experiences. Dominik bottles the raw, often brutal, beauty of his homeland:
-
The sharp, damp scent of the deep woods from childhood adventures—a primal connection to nature.
-
The unmistakable, sacred smoke of a bonfire crackling in the cold night air.
-
The stark, ancient aroma of church incense lingering in historical Polish settings.
-
The worn-in comfort of a leather jacket, a powerful nod to the rebellious music subcultures that shaped their youth.
II. The Craft: Artisanal Power & High Concentration
As a perfumer, Dominik Schneider’s style is unapologetically bold. This is not factory-made fragrance. He operates under a principle of pure craftsmanship, working in small, artisanal batches and utilizing massive concentrations (some up to 42%) to achieve exceptional depth, power, and genuine longevity.
His debut creation, "Martyr," (composed in 2023) is the brand's mission statement: a provocative, deeply felt composition of smoke, cinders, metallic notes, charred wood, and leather.
Dominik Schneider’s creations are for the Scentorium client who seeks unfiltered reality and dedication to the craft. He doesn't create scents to be liked; he creates them to be felt and remembered.
