Christian Carbonnel, who signs as Chris Maurice: third generation of a Spanish perfumery family and a nose for Xerjoff.
The story
His grandfather, the French perfumer Maurice Carbonnel, founded Carbonnel S.A. in Spain in 1925. His father, Francisco, guided his early training in the family laboratory. Today he directs the company.
The work
In 2019 he founded C De La Niche, focused on niche perfumery. His perfumes include Erba Pura and Alexandria II for Xerjoff, and he has worked with Nishane, Masque Milano, Zoologist and Amouage.
