Neandertal parfümök
A londoni japán művész, Kentaro Yamada alkotásai, aki 2015-ben kezdett művészeti médiumként dolgozni az illattal. A Neandertal egyetlen kérdésből indul: honnan jöttünk, és merre tartunk? Minden üveg kovakő formájú, az angliai Norfolkban talált őskori szakócák mintájára.
Három pár, három ellentét. A Dark (tömjén, oud, bőr) a Light (hinoki, íriszgyökér, fémes akkord) ellenpárja. Az Us, a múlt (tömjén, mirha, oud), szemben áll a Them-mel, a jövővel (tengeri moszat, írisz, ámbra). Az Is és a Was ugyanabból a megbízásból készült: az egyiket mesterséges intelligencia, a másikat három parfümőr alkotta. A Neandertal nem árulja el, melyik melyik.

The person behind the house
Kentaro Yamada
Artist, sculptor and founder of Neandertal
Kentaro Yamada is a Japanese artist and sculptor working in London. In 2015 he decided to treat scent as an art medium, and Neandertal grew out of that decision: a house that asks where we have come from, and where we are going.
He does not compose the perfumes himself. He sets the concept and chooses the perfumers: Euan McCall, Chris Maurice and, for Is and Was, three Symrise perfumers set against Symrise's own artificial intelligence.
The bottles start with him too. Their shape comes from flint hand axes, and the stoneware editions are made by hand by Yamada himself.
